Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a structured treatment method often used to treat severe emotional dysregulation. DBT was designed by Marsha Linehan, Ph.D. and is provided through individual therapy, group skills training and telephone skills coaching. In individual DBT, clients work on specific behavioral goals, track emotions and behaviors, and learn to integrate skills from training groups into their daily lives.
I am currently offering DBT skills groups through Wise Mind DBT Program. I see many clients making great strides in their recovery from depression and other forms of emotion dysregulation after their completion of all of the skills training modules.
