Supporting a loved one with emotion dysregulation is often perplexing and overwhelming. Family members and significant others can use information and support to help them develop self-care strategies and new ways to interact that may lead to more loving connection and less conflict and worry.
DBT Skills for Friends and Family is an 8-week course, offered 3 times a year, drawing upon DBT skills and the wisdom of DBT experts Shari Manning, PhD. and Alan Fruzzetti, PhD. Both Dr. Manning’s (Loving Someone with Borderline Personality Disorder) and Dr. Fruzzetti’s (The High-Conflict Couple) books will be referenced in the course.
Group participants will be provided with materials and different topics will be covered every week, including: Validation, Behavior Change, Communicating Through Conflict, Emotion Regulation, and Mindfulness.
This group will be closed to new members after the second week of enrollmentĀ and will be open to only 8 participants at a time. Reserve your spot today by calling (408) 207-5269.
